Custer has
been lead singer with various bands since the ’60s. The most
famous started out as the Keith Russell Five in the early ’70s. Later
becoming Gambler, they went on playing right up to the early ’90s when
they disbanded. After that
Custer became a fully self-contained act, running his own karaoke
