Holier than Thou

Raison d'être |

A young woman of my aquaintance, who
fell on bad times through alcohol and drugs, was picked up off the street
and taken in by Christians. She was overwhelmed by their
generosity and kindness - she had to attend Church, of course, but that
was a small price to pay for what she felt she had gained. I had my doubts, but kept
quiet about them, wishing only the best for her. And, of course, being a
Wise Child, she found the Canker in the Apple before very long . . . . and
the Scales fell from her Eyes . . . and from then on she saw, not
"through a glass darkly, but face to face", where "all
hearts are open, all desires known, and no secrets are
hid" |
