An amazing day up Pendle Oct 5th

Taken from the foot of the hill, just about to ascend, looking back toward Barley Same spot, looking up. No trickery, the sky really was that colour! Looking down from the top of Pendle, see the vast urban sprawl of Nelson

One of my favourite views from the top of Pendle, there is something so pleasing about the way those hills converge Ogden Reservoir I presume, which I would be passing later I love this atmospheric shot of a sheep with the misty hills behind it.

I love shots like this, there's nothing there, but I like the feeling of seeing the rim of the world. Looking back along the path that lies along the top of Pendle Ogden Reservoir is a bit nearer now

The familiar outline of Pendle that has come to symbolise our borough. I love the gracious curve of the old lady's skirts got out of walking up Pendle, he tried it once, but never again! I think he would need a crane. This is a beautiful picture, look at that tree in the foreground just turning colour
