The three mini-greenhouses I
installed along the back fence. The centre one has corn (Indian Blue Hopi)
and the others have two different kinds of tomato - on the left,
Gartenperle, a trailing type recommended for hanging baskets; on the
right, Black Krim, a heritage variety from the Crimea. Gartenperle was
sown one month before Black Krim.

Here you see the sitting
corner. In the first pic notice the honeysuckle sprouting on the green
arch, and in the second picture you can see the espaliered pear tree in
the raised log bed sending out its pale green shoots.

1&2 The Green Man now has
two friends, and an orgone pyramid at the base of the tree. 3. The obelisk
has a euonymous with 'Alchemist' climbing rose winding through, next to
that is a bleeding heart.

1. Down the side of the house,
daffodils where there used to be conifers. A pity for the blackbirds, many
of whom nested there, but the council put a new roof on, and it could not
be done without removing trees. Note their trunks edging the bed. 2&3 front garden with its many
different-coloured shrubs - the choices were all Wolfram's. He had a good
sense of colour, even though he couldn't see.

1. Sayeed stopped to say hello;
2. on my way to Libby Land, wearing stupid hat - met Maud coming back, and
she insisted on photographs being taken; 3. Latest bright idea: attached
4ft canes to rose arch, resting other ends on top of shed. Honeysuckle and
jasmine will grow over it.
